Today (Friday 12th April) marked my round 8 of 14 in my cycle of TDM-1 treatments for Breast Cancer! All of my blood results came back as normal, which is excellent and the treatment today was done in super quick time by the awesome nursing team at 81, Harley Street, London.
Earlier in the day I saw my surgeon, Miss Joanna Franks (INCREDIBLE surgeon and human being!) for my 6 month check up – all is super awesome, she’s very happy with what she saw and has now recommended annual visits as opposed to every 6 months!
Straight after seeing Miss franks it was off to Harley Street, 1st stop – Breast Physiotherapy!
I’m sure that sounds way more amusing than it is in reality! Breast Physiotherapy is absolutely incredible. One of the side effects of double mastectomy and reconstructive surgery is a loss of sensation around the breast area. Since I started having breast Physiotherapy, so much of the lost sensation has begun to return and the scarring has definitely softened.
For any ladies out there going through the same – I highly recommend it!
Once again, a HUGE thank you for all of the support from you guys throughout this whole journey – your Love, thoughts and comments have certainly made a difference and inspired me to help as many people with cancer as possible.
Feeling humbled and very blessed!
Have a beautiful weekend,
Vanessa x
